Dr. William S. Berger received his doctorate from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia (now known as Salus University) and completed his undergraduate education at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA. He is TPA Certified (therapeutic pharmaceutical agents) and is a member in good standing in the American Optometric Association (AOA) and The New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians (NJSOP).
In addition to comprehensive ocular health examinations for children and adults, Dr. Berger provides exams for glasses and has extensive experience with contact lens fitting; including for those who have been deemed "hard to fit" with contacts. With TPA Certification, he can prescribe medication to provide therapeutic treatment of diseases of the eyes including infections and allergies, foreign body removal, glaucoma, some forms of eye trauma, injuries to the cornea, eyelid and lacrimal problems, and pre- and post-operative care after laser surgery. He can also diagnose and treat other disorders of the visual system and other systemic diseases related to the eyes.
As a patient of Dr. Berger's at Accent On Eyes in Glassboro, NJ, you will receive most of your eye health;services from him, except for surgery, without having to be referred to a doctor with whom you are not familiar. Dr. Berger has been in practice in south Jersey for over 36 years and is always up-to-date on the latest medical treatments and techniques in vision care. In order to maintain his license, he is required to complete 50 hours of continuing education credits every two years. This assures that you are receiving the best possible treatment and the latest techniques for your eye health needs and any potential problems you may be experiencing.
